HB 45 -  Hope Cards for Persons Issued Orders of Protection

Requires OSCA, in consultation with others, to develop Hope Card Program; requires state courts to implement program; authorizes certain persons to apply for Hope Card after specified date; requires applications for Hope Card to be available online & in clerks' offices; requires clerks' offices to mail, by certified mail, Hope Card to petitioners within specified time frame; prohibits assessment of fee; provides requirements for Hope Card; authorizes person protected by injunction for protection issued by court of foreign state to apply for & receive Hope Card even if person does not register order for protection in this state.
