| A 30,400 sq. ft. full service emergency operations center hardened to withstand Category 5 hurricane conditions for the staging of first responders and their equipment and vehicles for post disaster services/assistance to 40% of population south of Choctawhatchee Bay in Okaloosa and Walton Counties who historically do not evacuate prior to a major hurricane. (First responders currently have to evacuate their personnel, vehicles, and equipment north of Choctawhatchee Bay in categories 3-5.) | |||||||||
